Sarah Foote, an Auckland-based interior designer renowned for transforming character homes, has brought her exceptional talents to Elysian.

Following an epiphany at Stanford Design School, Foote shifted from management to pursue her true passion in interior design, leading to the establishment of Sarah Foote Design eight years ago. Her work on Elysian is a testament to her dedication to creating spaces that blend luxury with timeless design, emphasizing natural materials and the importance of storage in apartment living.

Foote's design philosophy for Elysian is inspired by the natural beauty of the Waitematā harbour, with the development's fluted exterior by architect Jerome Buckwell serving as a creative catalyst. The interior design mirrors this inspiration, incorporating fluted details in Zuchetti taps and wardrobe glass, alluding to the building's connection to its coastal environment. Foote emphasises the necessity of high-quality hard surfaces and the strategic use of space to ensure each apartment feels both luxurious and functional.
